THREE hundred garages were officially designated Lucas Autotech Centres last month, as part of Lucas Aftermarket Operations' aim to set up the country's premier network of electronics and engine management specialists. In addition to the 300 Autotech centres, LAO has had inquiries from a further 50 garages and predicts that the network will ultimately stand at about 500 centres.

General manager of UK distribution Neil Fryer said: 'Everyone in the Autotech network will be capable of dealing first hand with engine management and fuel injection problems from both retail and trade customers.' LAO is supplying the network with the latest equipment and outlets will also have the support of the Lucas International Training Centre in Tamworth.
