ROVER Group has merged its two corporate sales teams to form a single operation covering all cars and 4x4 vehicles. The new team is being headed by Rover Group UK corporate sales director Steve Harris, who was previously corporate sales director of Rover Cars. Vince Floyd - formerly Land Rover corporate operations manager - becomes Land Rover and Group corporate accounts manager.

Harris said the move was prompted by customer demand for a one-stop-shop for everything from a sub-£10,000 Rover 211i to a £60,000 Range Rover. 'Fleets were asking us why they had to see two different people if they wanted two different types of vehicle,' he said. 'Now they can have one conversion.'

The merging of the operations follows the launch of the Land Rover Freelander, which Rover Group sees as appealing to car, and particularly company, drivers as well as traditional 4x4 users.
