COMMENTS on Government proposals to reform company car tax should be sent to the Inland Revenue by the end of April. Financial Secretary to the Treasury Dawn Primarolo told the House of Commons it would be 'helpful' if initial views on the case for replacing the existing 2,500 and 18,000 business mileage tax breaks with discounts for driving fewer private miles in company cars by around the end of April.
