FIRST National Vehicle Contracts has formed a specialist team to handle its expanding public sector client base. The nine-strong team, headed by general manager Chris Duckett, will look after the full range of public sector fleets, including NHS Trusts and local government. FNVC, part of Abbey National, currently handles public sector business worth £50m.

Under the new set-up, four external account managers will work with existing customers to monitor, review and develop their business requirements, while four internal sales co-ordinators will manage the day-to-day requirements of customers to ensure service level agreements are met and customer service standards maintained.

The role of business development manager has been created to complete the new team. The move has been prompted by the growing market for public sector business.
