THE Fleet Motor Show has once again confirmed itself as the fleet industry's premier business forum with fleet decision makers turning up in their thousands to the new Donington Park venue. The show was the venue for a string of major industry announcements including a £50 million Vauxhall deal with Yorkshire Water and Mitsubishi's largest ever fleet deal - an £8 million contract for 550 Carismas from Transaction Television.

Show director Keith Dalton said: 'Logistically Donington has proved to be a much better site both from exhibitors' and visitors' points of view. The facilities for exhibitors pre-show ran smoothly, and for visitors the car parking and buses into the show also ran smoothly with no traffic queues. Both the on-road driving routes and the track driving worked very well, and the feedback we have had from everyone has been excellent.'

Full attendance figures will not be known for another week, but Dalton expects the numbers to be similar to last year's show at Silverstone, which was visited by more than 10,000 fleet decision makers over four days. What is already without doubt, however, is the top quality of the visitors to Donington Park, signalling the success of the show's marketing campaign to attract high calibre business chiefs.
