RYLAND Multifleet is offering customers the option of having Toad Secur-Film, a clear window film designed to prevent windows being smashed, fitted to their vehicles. Ryland says that recent crime statistics show that more than 55% of all forced entries involve glass breakage, and more than 75% of all glass attack involves the front door windows.
Secur-Film aims to prevent potential thieves from smashing the glass and stops glass shattering in the event of an accident, although it can be smashed out from inside if necessary. It costs about £250 for a medium-sized fleet car. The company is also offering the product to members of the British Chambers of Commerce, with which Ryland Multifleet has a tie-up as preferred supplier.
