LEX Vehicle Leasing has renewed its contract with Avis Rent A Car for a further three years, in a deal worth around £30 million. The contract extension follows a successful relationship over the past three years which has seen Lex Vehicle Leasing become Avis Rent A Car's largest customer in the contract hire sector with demand for short term rental and replacement vehicles increasing by 20% in the last year.

That growth is expected to continue this year. Andy Marchington, business development director at Lex Vehicle Leasing, said: 'The partnership between Lex Vehicle Leasing and Avis Rent A Car has grown over the past three years and we believe Avis Rent A Car is best suited to provide the high level of service that our customers expect.' A number of new joint initiatives which will benefit fleets involving the two companies are expected to be announced shortly.
