YEW Tree Consulting has launched a new communication system called Tell Internet to link fleet operators to dealers for maintenance authorisation. Tell Internet has already started a pilot project with Dial, Fleetlease, Jessups and Ryland Multifleet, and will add three new services shortly.
The first of these is FleetBuyer, designed to enable fleet operators to obtain quotes rapidly; the second, CarStock, enables fleets to dispose of cars via the internet; and the third is TradePay designed to enable dealers to invoice fleet customers. Instead of following the competition in establishing a dedicated EDI network, Tell Internet will use EDI over the Internet and has built a new website for the fleet industry.
Tell Internet aims to undercut rival communication systems, demanding no set-up fee and offering the first six months free of charge. Thereafter the fees will be £10 per week to dealers and fast-fit companies, and £100 per week to fleet operators. The site can be accessed via the Fleet NewsNet 'links' page under 'Fleet consultants'.
