POWERMARQUE has signed a deal worth an estimated £1.9 million with Acoat Bodyshop Services to make it the exclusive repair supplier for the fleet management specialist's new accident management product. All repairs from Powermarque's 8,000 customers covered by the accident management scheme, launched in April, will be referred to one of ABS's 100-strong network of repairers.
Powermarque estimates that it could be supplying up to 3,200 jobs a year to the repairer, worth between £1.5 and £2 million a year if repair costs average between £500 and £600. The firm is a subsidiary of Anglian Water and was initially created to supply its parent company with fleet services, but has since expanded into taking on external business.
ABS is owned by 100 independent bodyshops with which it forms partnerships across the UK. Each network has its own geographical areas and when the network is complete there should be 135 members.
