DAEWOO's new small car, the Matiz, will go on sale in the UK in September costing £6,320 on the road for the entry-level model and £7,020 for the hi-spec version. The five-door car with room for four six-footers debuted in the UK at the Fleet Motor Show at Donington Park in May and Daewoo says it has taken UK orders for 500.
Both versions - the SE and SE+ - have twin airbags, engine immobiliser, power steering, audio system and metallic paint as standard, with the range-topper adding electric windows, alloy wheels, central locking and a boot spoiler. Powered by an 800cc 50bhp engine the Matiz backed by Daewoo's full package including three years/60,000 miles' free servicing.
