NATIONAL Grid is to renew a contract with Rover to supply 250 vehicles worth more than £5 million at showroom prices. The 250 diesel-powered 400s and 600s, make up a quarter of National Grid's 1,000-strong Coventry-based car fleet.
Rover has now been working with National Grid for about five years, and the latest deal again extends what was originally a two-year contract. David Morse, National Grid's fleet manager, said: 'The decision to retain Rover was based largely on the excellent performance characteristics of the L-series 2.0-litre engine.'
