A MANAGEMENT buyout at West Bromwich-based Salter Weigh-Tronix has been followed by the firm outsourcing its fleet management to the Fleet Management Group. The deal covers more than 150 vehicles, mainly Vauxhalls, which are contract hired from a range of companies, which will now liaise with the Fleet Management Group.

Jan Miller, human resources director for Salter Weigh-Tronix, which manufactures weighing equipment, said: 'Our business will always seek to make improvements to processes and aim for cost reduction where possible. The decision to work with the Fleet Management Group will allow us to achieve these goals.'
