ROVER Group is to open its own new parts operation in the UK following the expiring of the current 10-year contract with Unipart.
Last year Rover Group parent company BMW announced the Unipart contract would not be renewed and now the manufacturer has signed a 10-year deal with Caterpillar Logistics Services to develop and provide parts warehousing for Rover and Land Rover operations in the UK. The contract will see the doubling of capacity at Land Rover's existing facility to accommodate Rover Car parts.
