BASILDON-based Toomey Hire & Leasing has bought Skyway Leasing in Chester for about £6 million.

The deal takes Toomey's 6,000 strong fleet to 7,500 vehicles, and gives it valuable representation in the north of the country, according to John Beadle, Toomey's sales manager.
