THE International League for the Protection of Horses has outsourced its 25-strong fleet to Toomey Hire and Leasing. The charity had been running its fleet in-house as an extra administrative duty and with no dedicated fleet manager, and decided there could be cost savings through outsourcing.
The fleet was predominately Rover diesels, with a couple of four-wheel-drive vehicles, all of which were owned. They were replaced with Honda CR-Vs and three Daihatsu Fourtraks under three-year contract hire full maintenance agreements.
