FOR the first time since 1989 industry consultant Fleet Audits is set to increase the cost of its training courses, but has put a freeze on prices for its March 23-24 two-day residential basic fleet management training course.

The Petersfield, Hampshire, company is to announce the new fees next month. Cost per delegate is £495 plus VAT, although Association of Car Fleet Operators members are offered a £30 discount.

Held at Hayling Island Post House, near Portsmouth, the BFMT course is designed to provide a solid grounding and understanding of the UK fleet market and the fundamental processes and procedures carried out within a fleet department.

The number of delegates per course is limited to 12 to enable maximum interaction between delegates and tutors.

Fleet Audits estimates it provides 35- 40% of fleet management training in the UK. Director of training services Chris Chandler said: 'The courses are well proven and demonstrate that operational savings can be achieved as a direct result.
