DAEWOO is seeking someone who 'likes a challenge' to lead its fleet sales team. The Korean manufacturer is looking to recruit a head of fleet operations to replace Stewart Wright who left earlier this year following a 'fundamental difference in opinion'.

The advertisement which appeared in Fleet NewsNet's autorecruit section on March 4 called for someone to 'spearhead a new determined push into the business and fleet sectors'. Last year Daewoo achieved 3,500 sales into fleets. The new recruit will be expected to develop the business 'from scratch' and increase the number to around 6,000 - not including daily rental cars.

Daewoo is close to completing the recruitment of 28 fleet sales specialists, who will spend their time with customers and a head office team of 14 that Wright's replacement will oversee.
