THE 500,000th British-built Honda - a right-hand drive Civic 1.6i LS 5-door - has rolled off the production line at the manufacturer's Swindon plant.

Last year the company announced it would be creating a further 1,000 jobs at the plant with a £450 million investment between now and 2002.
