TWELVE back office staff are to lose their jobs at Stanmore-based Motorent following the decision of new owners ACL to eliminate duplication of some functions with its Cardiff headquarters.

The redundancies will take effect from the end of April and are essentially in finance, underwriting and credit control. However, following the introduction of new systems technology seven new jobs will be created in Cardiff. ACL acquired Motorent last year.
