KWIK-Fit Holdings has invested £1.8 million is consulting and training services company TFA Holdings. The company has already supplied training to Kwik-Fit Holdings and was bought as part of a drive to improve staff communication, technical and managerial skills.
It will also continue to serve and expand its external client base. Following a Kwik-Fit Holdings boardroom shake-up, TFA Holdings' managing director Tony Lockery is to join as group director of operations from May 1. He will also serve on the management board.
John Houston, formerly director of finance, has been appointed group director of strategy and business development. Graeme Bissett, formerly a senior partner in Arthur Andersen, has joined the board as group director of finance. Peter Holmes has assumed responsibility for all group marketing and Ian McIntosh, vice-chairman of HSBC Investment Bank has joined as a non-executive director and chairman of the audit committee.
