DUMFRIES & Galloway Community Health NHS Trust has awarded a three-year, £3 million solus supply and leasing contract for its 250 cars to First National Vehicle Contracts. FNVC has been supplying the trust for 18 months, but had to win the contract in a competitive tender.

As part of the deal, FNVC will provide the Trust with 15 one-year old ex-courtesy cars for a nominal £1 each to run on its pool fleet. FNVC said the pool cars should be seen as a component part of a much broader arrangement to meet the needs of Dumfries & Galloway NHS Trust.
