AUTO Windscreens van driver Brian Nicol is one in a million after becoming the first employee to clock up a million miles delivering glass nationwide. Birmingham-based Nicol, who is in his 20th year with Birmingham Safety Glass - Auto Windscreens' national distribution centre - achieved the feat, equivalent to almost 40 times around the world, with just one accident - and then the other driver was to blame.

Like all Auto Windscreens' drivers he has completed an advanced driver awareness training programme. Clocking up more than 1,000 miles a week Nicol said: 'I'd always dreamt of completing my service without a single scrape - until someone bashed into me from behind a few years ago.'
