HONDA has slashed the on-the-road price of its facelifted and more refined range-topping luxury saloon, the Legend, by more than £2,000. The Japanese manufacturer says the new pricing will give it a 'keen competitive edge' over its rivals, such as the BMW 5-series and Audi A6.

Now priced at £31,995 on the road, the 3.5-litre automatic Legend has fallen £2,100 from its previous £34,100 on-the-road price. This compares to the BMW 535i at £36,915 or the Audi A6 2.8 SE at £29,920 on-the-road.
