AUTO Windscreens is to consolidate its distribution operation at the hub of Britain's motorway network in Birmingham. The company is expanding its Witton-based distribution company, Birmingham Safety Glass, to handle daily stock deliveries to its fitting centres.

Stock levels are to rise by 20% with the addition of 17,000sq ft of warehousing, 25 new staff are to be recruited and the 30-strong distribution fleet is to be expanded with the addition of 12 more vehicles.
