HYUNDAI is slashing the prices of its Accent range for the second time in under six months and introducing a new 1.3-litre base model at £6,999 on the road. Earlier this year, prices were cut by between 3% and 6% and, now, the Korean manufacturer is undertaking a series of cuts of between £200 and £500, effectively chopping more than £1,000 off some of the range from December 1998 price lists.
The new entry-model 1.3-litre Siena three-door is introduced at £6,999 on the road, and there is no change in price for the former entry-level vehicle which remains at £7,499. The 1.3 Si Coupe three-door drops £200 to £8,499, the 1.3 Si five-door falls £300 to £8,699 and the 1.3 GSi five-door falls £500 to £9,499.
