NIGEL Fletcher has quit his position as head of fleet services at Swan National after more than 20 years with the company. A leaving date has not yet been confirmed and the Birmingham-based contract hire company is not saying where he is going.

A spokesman said: 'All we can say is that Fletcher is moving on to another part of the industry, but we do not feel it is appropriate at this stage to say where. He has been with Swan for many years and we wish him all the best in his future ventures.'

Until further notice, the fleet services team will report to Swan National's director and general manager, Tim Holmes. Fletcher first joined Swan in 1972 and left the company in 1985 only to rejoin it again in 1992 where he has remained until his present move.
