MERCEDES-Benz is increasing the specification across its C-class range from next month, but with no change to existing prices. The Electronic Stability Program traction control system, previously an £846 optional extra, now becomes standard on all models.

Speedtronic cruise control also becomes standard on the C180, C200 and C230 Kompressor models with manual gearboxes. All C-class models will also be available with a new five-speed automatic transmission, with optional sequential tip-shift control.
