FIAT is to launch a rival to Renault's Kangoo and the Citroen Berlingo at this month's Paris Motor Show. The Doblo and its LCV variant, the Cargo, will go on sale here early next year with a choice of 26 body configurations - three-, four- or five-doors and two specification levels - SX and ELX (basic and SX for the Cargo).

Four engine options are available: 1.9-litre 63bhp diesel, 1.2-litre 65bhp petrol, 1.6-litre 103bhp petrol and a 100bhp 1.9-litre common rail JTD diesel unit. Features include large sliding side doors to access up to 3,000-litres of luggage space. Cargo models will be available in two payloads - 625kg and 805kg and a high roof version will be added to the range after launch.
