HONDA is installing a company car tax calculator in its dealerships to help fleet drivers work out whether they are better off keeping their company car or switching to a cash allowance.

The manufacturer will use the Netro42 Cash or Car calculator so its sales staff can explain to company car drivers their tax position under the new emissions-based benefit in kind tax system. Drivers who will be financially better off opting out of their company car will be directed towards personal contract purchase or leasing schemes. The tax calculator is also available on Honda's website.
