MANUFACTURERS pre-registered a total of 222 cars worth £2.1 million during August, according to figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. The Supply of New Cars Order 2000 requires manufacturers to publish the number of pre-registered cars supplied and the gross income received by suppliers from selling those cars.
