COURIER firm TNT UK has appointed British Car Auctions as its solus remarketing business partner for commercial vehicles.

BCA will auction most of the TNT end-of-use fleet at BCA Belle Vue, Manchester and BCA Measham.

Part of the deal includes a livery removal process to ensure the TNT branding is taken off without compromising the resale value of the vans and lorries.

An inventory management system has been developed by British Car Auctions so the status of all vehicles going through the remarketing process can be accessed at any time by TNT's group fleet procurement division.

TNT group fleet procurement manager Simon Boggis said: 'BCA has been for many years a premier supplier to the TNT Group and continuously strives to add value to our partnership. We are delighted to strengthen our relationship.'

Duncan Ward, BCA's UK business development manager - commercial vehicles, added: 'The marketplace continues to place a premium on direct entered stock from 'blue chip' vendors and the desirable, well presented vehicles from TNT have already established a strong following with our buyers. This agreement means we will work closely with TNT to ensure an orderly flow of vehicles into the marketplace, maximising residual values and giving BCA's buyer customers exclusive access to this direct-entered, high-demand stock.'
