SAAB set new volume and turnover records at its first sale of the year at BCA Nottingham.

More than 200 cars were offered and sold in the Saab dealer closed sale with a turnover of more than £2.6 million - both new benchmark figures for the manufacturer.

About 50 buyers attended the sale which achieved a 100% conversion rate and an average of 103.1% of CAP 'clean'.

Mike Barker, Saab GB's used car development manager, said: 'The combination of a superb selection of vehicles, first class presentation and the strong demand from our dealers across the range was reflected in this record-breaking result.'

Bob Knowles, national account manager for manufacturer sales for BCA, said: 'Our ongoing exclusive sales programme for Saab is consistently generating strong results in both open and closed auctions. This sale was exceptional, however, and augurs very well for the 2002 Saab programme.'
