THE worldwide trading power of the internet has been demonstrated by e-business site eWanted.com, where a San Francisco-based company posted a request for a late model Volkswagen Passat.

Its request was answered by a Dutch car dealer based in Alkmaar, Netherlands, who promised to find a suitable car in Germany and ship it to the United States. (July 2000)
