BERLIN-based DaimlerChrysler Services has launched a new leasing and rental operation in Greece.

Two new companies, DaimlerChrysler Services Hellas Leasing and DaimlerChrysler Services Hellas Rental, will support sales of DaimlerChrysler brands Mercedes-Benz, Smart, Chrysler and Setra in Greece by providing financial services and operational leasing services.

DaimlerChrysler Services Hellas said it expects order volumes to reach €7 million by the end of the year and plans to increase new business to €45 million in 2002.

During its start-up phase, the company will support about 24 Mercedes-Benz dealerships and next year will extend the services to include the Smart and Chrysler brands. (November 2001)
