NATIONWIDE Network Services has signed a deal with the Compass Group, the catering specialist, to provide accident management for its fleet of 3,000 vehicles.

The deal means NNS will provide accident management and uninsured loss recovery to Compass. This means drivers have round-the-clock support from a call centre. NNS will also provide claims handling for Compass. The Compass fleet is a mix of job need and perk cars leased through ARVAL PHH and c2K onLine. The fleet has about 500 commercial vehicles.

The move is a bid to standardise vehicle management following Compass's acquisition of Granada last year.

Tim Mason, Compass' company secretary, said: 'Nationwide can provide the tailor-made service we require with no monthly fees. In addition to this, NNS supplies courtesy cars with every repair.'

Ken Lane, managing director of Nationwide Crash Repair Centres, part of Nationwide Network Services, said: 'NNS has developed a bespoke package to meet Compass's lease and hire vehicle requirements.'
