TRANSPORT for London (TfL) has launched a new electronic reminder for its congestion charge payment.

Drivers download a message which pops up on their computer screens at times specified by the user.

TfL is hoping the new message will help drivers avoid penalty charges after forgetting to pay the levy.

Malcolm Murray-Clark, congestion charging director at TfL, said: ‘We’ve progressively introduced changes to make the charge easier to pay, improve awareness of how the scheme operates and help drivers avoid running up penalty charges by simply forgetting to pay.’
