THE first seven companies to meet the standards set down in the ground-breaking Fleet News Charter for Fleet Suppliers have been named by fleet managers.

The charter was created following last year’s Fleet News Hit for Six conference, based on the comments of fleet decision-makers about the service standards they would like suppliers to meet.

After a year of development and consultation with the fleet industry, it was launched at this year’s Hit for Six conference.

To register a supplier’s details, companies are invited to fill out an online form and send it to the Fleet News team.

The nomination is then ratified to make sure it meets the required standards through discussion with the fleet manager making the nomination.

Each successful nomination will be listed for a period of six months and then removed, to reflect the fast-changing nature of the industry. Nominations can be received at any time of year. Details of the nominated firms and the fleet decision-makers who have been nominated are listed on the Fleet News website www.fleetnews.co.uk (click on the Suppliers Charter link).

The list is regularly updated with new companies, so remember to keep checking for regular updates, which will also be listed in Fleet News.

The first companies listed are Automotive Leasing, Days Contract Hire, Drive and Survive, ING Car Lease, Lex, MNH Vehicle Contracts and Premier Recoveries.
