VOLKSWAGEN’S Polo range will grow with the addition of two new models this year.

First to arrive in April is the Dune, a jacked-up 4x4 clone but without four-wheel drive.

Two versions will be offered – a 1.4 73bhp petrol at £12,645 and a 1.4 TDI diesel with 68bhp at £850 more. On sale in May, the Polo GTI (above) will be the hot hatch range-topper, offering a 147bhp turbocharged 1.8-litre engine and styling cues from the Golf GTI such as the honeycomb front grille and red brake callipers. The GTI will cost from £14,785.
