How long have you been in the fleet industry?
For four years, starting as fleet administrator. I was promoted to fleet manager for BSkyB two years ago.
What does your job entail?
All aspects of fleet operation from policy development, vehicle negotiation/selection and risk management to the day-to-day operational requirements of the business.
How is the industry changing?
I have seen many changes to the industry over the last four years.
The role of the fleet manager is constantly developed and challenged in line with these industry changes, from risk management to the environmental aspects of running a fleet.
This is a positive move forward, it is important for fleet managers and
businesses to understand, apply and develop their policies to reflect these changes and ensure best practice across their operations.
What is your dream car?
There are too many cars, but I love classics.
I’m currently driving a 1991 Alfa Romeo Spider which oozes character and is really good fun when the sun is shining.
