Environmental services firm Lexia Solutions Group has placed an order for 15 Civic Hybrids, with another potential 20 orders expected before Christmas.

The deal with Stratstone Honda in Leeds follows the acquisition by Lexia of Life Environmental Sciences, whose 40 company car drivers are now restricted to the Civic Hybrid.

There are also 16 vacancies at the company, all of which, when filled, are likely to require a company car.

Lexia plans to increase its hybrid fleet by another 50 next year, and eventually hopes that the majority of its fleet will be hybrid-powered.

The Lexia Group employs more than 475 people.

Companies within the group deal with a range of environmental issues.
