Audi has facelifted its A6 with more efficient engines, more power and suspension tweaks.

Fuel consumption across the range has been cut by 12% and its looks have been fettled with a new grille, revised bumpers and air intakes and new fog and rear lights.

Inside, the instrument panel uses new higher-resolution graphics and chrome trim has been added around the cabin.

A new S-line sports package is available, which includes 18-inch wheels and lowered sports suspension, as well as sports seats and black-trimmed interior.

New engines include a 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6 petrol unit and a 168bhp version of the 2.0 TDI.

The revised range goes on sale in the autumn.
