Kwik-Fit fitters will be able to tune into their favourite radio stations once again after a long-running legal dispute with the Performing Rights Society (PRS) ended.

PRS for Music, which helps collect royalties for music publishers and songwriters, launched its case after claiming Kwik-Fit owed it £200,000 in lost rights for public 'performances' of songs on workers' radios.

It claimed that because music could be heard by customers, because of the open plan nature of the firm's tyre and exhaust repair centres, it was in breach of copyright law.

However, the two parties have now announced that their legal dispute is over after Kwik-Fit entered into an ongoing licensing agreement.
