Details of a new eco Insignia have been released by Vauxhall.

The ecoFLEX car produces 136g/km of CO2 and starts at £19,600 on the road.

The ecoFLEX's reduced combined CO2 figure means that business drivers will pay 18% Benefit in Kind tax - the second lowest band for a diesel car.

The lower CO2 also mean that all Insignia ecoFLEX owners will be better off by £25 per year due to its lower VED band.

The car has a combined fuel consumption figure of 54.7mpg - a 10% improvement on the 2.0 CDTi model.
