There are signs that companies are increasingly looking at salary sacrifice schemes in an attempt to provide company cars to more of their employees.

Six weeks after launching its scheme, Zenith Provecta has taken over 350 orders and processed over 20,000 quotes – well ahead of its predictions.

Two major fleet operators – one of which was a conquest – are now using the scheme to offer company cars to employees who would not normally qualify for them.

Employees who have already placed orders are seeing savings in the region of £70 to £100 per month compared to financing their own new car.

Such schemes can prove attractive to fleet managers determined to get drivers out of grey fleet cars. But as the cars are effectively company vehicles, such schemes have the potential to add to managers’ workload.
