Volkswagen has unveiled a more fleet-friendly version of its Golf GTI – the diesel-powered GTD.

It is powered by a 2.0-litre TDI diesel producing 170bhp.

Claimed fuel economy is 53.3mpg and CO2 emissions are 139g/km.

Prices are yet to be announced, but it will cost less than £22,000 when it goes on sale in June.
