Fleet managers will have the chance to drive seven all-new models making their UK fleet debuts at the Fleet News Greener Company Car In Action taking place next month.
And with the focus on green vehicles, Toyota is giving its new 89g/km of CO2 Prius hybrid model its UK debut at the event, taking place at the Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire from June 16 to 18.
Sister company Lexus will also be bringing along its new RX450h hybrid SUV model, with CO2 emissions of just 148g/km.
The Fleet News event marks the first time that anyone from outside of Toyota or the media have driven the Prius or RX450h, signifying the importance the company places on the models within the fleet sector.
Both models go on sale on July 1.
Richard Balshaw, general manager at Toyota Fleet, said: “We are very excited about having these two new hybrid models at Greener Company Car in Action.
"With their CO2 emissions both models will be very relevant to fleets.
“The event will also be the first public outing for the recently-merged Toyota and Lexus Fleet Services team, and to have two new hybrids on our stand is quite an exclusive for us.”
Other manufacturers committed to attending the show include BMW, Chevrolet, Citroën, Ford, Honda, Kia, Mini, Peugeot and Vauxhall.
New models making their UK debuts include the BMW 116d, Citroen C3 Picasso, Ford’s new look Transit Connect and the low emission Transit Econetic, and Vauxhall’s Insignia Ecoflex which has been tuned for higher fuel economy and lower emissions.
And fleet managers will also be given a sneak preview of an exciting all-new product which is coming up from BMW in a special sealed-off area.
Stephen Briers, Fleet News editor, said: “In the current economic climate, it is more important than ever that fleet operators make the right decisions when they are committing to new models and reviewing their fleet spend.
“Greener Company Car in Action is a vital opportunity for fleets to ensure they understand what is available so they can make the best and most cost-efficient choices for their business in the future.”
