Fleet managers are being reminded to select options wisely to get the best resale value for executive cars.

“Choosing the most desirable options are more important for executive models than for any other sector,” said HPI chief valuer Alan Senior.

“Savvy fleet managers can keep their executives looking slick while ensuring they get the best price when it comes time to resell.”

Options to tick

• Leather can be the difference between sale or no sale and can add £500 to £800 to the resale price.

• The right choice of alloy wheel upgrade can equate to £500 difference in value.

• Infotainment packs with TV, DVD and navigation can add an extra £500 to the value.
