Brake’s annual Road Safety Week will take place this year from November 23 to November 29.

The road safety charity has teamed up with breathalyser maker AlcoSense for the event to consider the impact on a community when someone dies or is severely maimed as a result of drink driving.

“One in six deaths on our roads is caused by drivers over the legal limit and, increasingly, drivers get behind the wheel after a heavy night drinking completely unaware that they aren’t safe to do so,” explained Brake spokesman Katie Shephard.

“Brake is pleased to join voices with AlcoSense and urge all drivers to never drink and drive, and test themselves before the morning after.”
