Kwik-Fit Fleet is to expand its current network of 452 centres, offering fleet servicing and MOTs, to 500 in the next few months.

Some of the new centres will be equipped with two MOT bays further increasing their capacity.

In addition, Gary Ralph, operations manager London and the South East, has been seconded to Kwik-Fit Fleet from Kwik-Fit GB to lead a major project to accelerate the growth of fleet servicing and MOTs.

The twin moves come at a time when corporate demand for vehicle servicing and MOTs at Kwik-Fit centres has reached unprecedented levels following the launch of the two products to fleets three years ago.

In the first six months of 2009, Kwik-Fit Fleet has seen business demand for MOTs increase by 90% compared with the first half of last year and fleet servicing demand rise 51% over the same period.

“Demand for company car and van MoTs is being driven particularly by the recession because businesses are keeping their vehicles longer,” explained head of Kwik-Fit Fleet Mike Wise.
