A new in-car device, Mini Coyote V2, has been launched in the UK that helps company car drivers keep from speeding fines and points on their licence both at home and abroad.

A real-time speed camera alert system, Mini Coyote V2 is already used by 600,000 drivers across Europe and uses a constantly updated database of Europe’s 26,000 fixed and mobile camera locations. This database is supplemented by a live community of users, who can alert other Coyote subscribers to new fixed and mobile camera locations in close proximity at the touch of a button. As a result, Mini Coyote V2 users benefit from accurate and up to date information during their journey.

The Mini Coyote V2 is designed to be used by all company vehicle drivers – car, van or truck – and sits discreetly on the dashboard using a magnetic base.

The device displays the vehicle’s average speed when driving through SPECS-monitored average speed camera zones, such as those typically found in motorway roadworks, and it also alerts to school and high-risk zones, plus Congestion Charge entry locations.

Andrew Smith, managing director of Cobra UK Limited, said: “The Mini Coyote V2 is ideally suited to the needs of both company vehicle drivers and fleet managers, as it is specifically designed to aid road safety by helping drivers keep to the speed limits.

“Company vehicle drivers can proactively protect themselves from speeding fines, thereby protecting their driving licence and their livelihood. Meanwhile, fleet managers are reducing their overall fleet running costs and promoting road safety within their organisation.”
